Our farm is located in Southern Maine about 20 miles from
the Atlantic Ocean and some of the most beautiful beaches on
the east coast. We are also within 20 miles of the lakes
district of Maine with its fishing, boating and beautiful
fall foliage. The farm is steeped in history. The area, once
known as Narragansett, was parceled out to men who served in
the Revolutionary War. One of these men, William Leavitt,
built the farm house which still sits here today. Our farm was formed in 2002 on the site of
this
230+ year old farmstead. We have begun the
laborious but rewarding process of restoring the farm to its
former beauty and intent. For most of its years, this
site was a working family farm and with the arrival
of our alpacas, it is once again.
The original owners, the
Leavitt family, might never have imagined alpacas roaming
their pastures or inhabiting their barns, but we hope our new
take on the family farm will be pleasing to all who visit.
We welcome you to come and spend some time with us and our animals. We love visitors, and
enjoy sharing our alpaca experiences with you. Please call
ahead, so that we can provide quality time to you.
